PRAYER IN THE EASTERN CHURCH PERSPECTIVE
By H.G. Geevarghese Mar Ivanios Metropolitan
[Diocesan Metropolitan of Kottayam Diocese Malankara Orthodox Church]
The western style of prayers and sermons are logically gracious, benevolent and emotionally satisfying. The decisions we make in our life by our own will power will not suffice for solving our problems in our spiritual life. The Eastern Church prayer patterns not only lead us to the goal of spiritual life and bring about humility for the obedience to God but also that in itself is the step-by-step way to reach the spiritual goal of contemplation by the Grace of God. The prayer, fasting and worship lead us for a guard of the mind and internal purification.

THIS IS THE DAY FOR SALVATION
By Dr K.C.Nainan, Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A
About seven hundred years before our Savior’s birth, ministry, death on Calvary, resurrection and ascension to heaven, prophet Isaiah gave us the prophesy about our salvation. It is a call and invitation to every human being born in this world. Life is very uncertain. Uncertainty is the only certainty we are sure of! Tomorrow is not for us. Salvation is the most important achievement any person can have in this life. We may win everything in this world, but if the soul is lost to eternity, life is empty and worthless. Salvation is free gift from the Lord by His mercy and grace, not by our merit. Good work is the fruit of salvation.

"TEACHERS OF THE BIBLE, SHARE THE GLORY AND GOODNESS OF GOD"
By Fr. Dr. Reji Mathew, STOTS Nagpur
The responsibility of a Christian teacher is always to teach the right faith in accordance with the Bible. The false teachers lose their thoughts even about heaven and forget the source of their wisdom due to their arrogance. A Bible teacher should be sincere and should realize that there are human limitations. The motivation of the Bible teachers should not be to acquire wealth. The divine call and choice given for teaching should be made a permanent experience and should lead a holy and dedicated life.

TWO MODELS OF FAITHFULNESS CLOAKROOM V/S UPPER-ROOM
By Rev. Dr. Valsan Thampu
Faithfulness of the first kind faithfulness to the given in its present dimension-comprises the duty to keep. It is accountability for what is received, exercised in a protective sense. Life is a domain of growth, not of stagnation. Faithfulness, as Jesus points out with profound clarity, is related to 'fulfillment'. We become unfaithful to God because of our faithfulness to religion, if only for the reason that we do not endeavor to be 'good and faithful' servants. Human faithfulness should amount to more than to preserve whatever was entrusted to us. True faithfulness implies a harmony of the past, present and future with seeking as the guiding light.

AN INTIMATE REALISATION OF GOD
By Prof. Dr. Zac Varghese, London
Many deformed images of God can dominate our lives. Although faith is the basis of a religious life, for many it is the fear instilled in them, which is the motivating force; fear of judgement and damnation; fear of fire and brimstones. It was through ordinary everyday events in Nazareth and Galilee that Jesus showed us God’s extraordinary love and involvement with human condition. The blessings and happiness of this abiding, indwelling experience of God is a gift far and above any other gifts that one can wish for. A longing for God is our first step in our blissful spiritual journey.

CLIMATE CHANGE
By E.S. John Australia
Knowing that we are only the stewards of the earthly house of the Lord, not owners of this ephemeral life is the best knowledge that one can cultivate during this horrid life of uncertainties. Our main aim in this life is to worship that is by serving the creatures of the Creator, not for exploiting his own brother by destroying the ecosystem for enhancing our fat. Man, however, is destined to die, so also is the planet earth from which man is formed; the Creator has set a definite mandate for the slow disappearance of this earth.

He had written regarding the call and choice of St. Peter in detail than all other evangelist. Manner of his writings are accurate, exact, polite and elegant. POETRY
PSALMS 1, 8 AND 15
By John Kunnathu
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth, Who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens! Those who walk with integrity, and works righteousness, and speak truth in his heart live in the tent of God.
