APRIL 2011 | FELICITATION |

Rev. Dn. Geevarghese John is ordained to priesthood on March 26, 2011 at St. Thomas Church Philadelphia.
Both Mor Barnabas and Mor Nicholovos thirumenis were present. Mor Nicholovos was the celebrant and Valiya thirumeni esteemed the occasion by his blessed sermon. More than 30 clergies, deacons, priests and corepiscopos, participated. Seminarians, choir members parish MGOCSM/Focus, members and invitees, about 600 in numbers attended and blessed the ceremony.
There was a short meeting to felicitate the new ordained. St.Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, Vicar MK Kuriakoseachen) MGOCSM of the same parish, MGOCSM Council members, also from Chicago, Houston, etc honored with special presents on the occasion.
On 27th Sunday, the new priest conducted Holy Quorbono, in tri-language; Syriac, English and Malayalam mixed.
H Eminence Mor Nicholovos with his paternal care and affection was present throughout and allowed Rev Fr Geevarghese John to do the whole thing; by this he demonstrated how much he loves and cares the young generation. Indeed, HG is a great source of encouragement to the younger generation; that is the hope of our future. Thirumeni said, "Geevarghese John achen conducted his first liturgy in exemplary manner, I am very happy."
Resp MK Kuriakosachen, Vicar of the parish, Rev Frs., Mathew Alexander, Abby Chacko, Aju Mathew, and I and many deacons and seminarians were present.
The service turned out to be flawless. His sound was melodious and all attendees expressed their joy and satisfaction that the service was a heavenly experience. I do not take any credit although as father, I have taught some Syriac and other things.
The whole credit for my son being a good priest goes to Respected MK Kuriakosachen (Malpono) who trained him. Achen is a very kind and loving person who helped me to "feel at home" when I opted for church unity in 2002 together with Mor Nicholovos thirumeni and came to this side resigning from my vicar position from my home-parish. Ever since my son was ordained a sub-deacon he encouraged him and gave responsibilities to handle, and voluntarily took up the task to teach him. I have words to express my gratitude.
Equally so, the MGOCSM, Focus, Men's Forum, Women's Forum and choir and Committee, and all members, gave sincere support and helps throughout and especially the ordination arrangements. Our gratitude is unbound.
