DOOMSDAY MAN
By E.S. JOHN AUSTRALIA

The tragedy within the tragedy that is the part of life is a paradox to those who suffer the pang of it, but not to those who philosophises it from outside. It is the tendency of man to comment anything without knowing the ins and outs of the hard nuts to crack when something happens to others, but the suffering becomes real at the time the passive observer become a victim. The multitudes of complexities that bundle around man are a world within another world, a play within the play. The uncertainties and limitations of man are worlds beyond other worlds, the reason for Jesus to speak explicitly that man has no right or know- how to judge another one. The exclusive right of knowing by himself by each person is a great nothing because creating man in the image and likeness of God remains a vast and deep mystery, as God is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent. Man also has a spark of these potentialities of the Creator if he lives outside the dimensions of the lust of the flesh. Neither God nor His adversary gets older or has the ability to die, whereas man is subjected to growth and death. Both are tireless and sleepless that reminds man that he can be a robot of the warring parties: God and the Devil.

God being the Creator of man doesn’t want to destroy him, the reason for God to give options of choice that makes the Almighty to slow to anger. The Devil has nothing to lose in the battle where man is the hostage, just as the woman who led the other one to the courtroom of King Solomon. The devil can play any havoc in the battlefield in God’s territory because the doom that bring in is a loss to God. The destruction of man is the ultimate aim and victory for the prince of perdition, while any dent brings to His creation is a defeat for God. Hence capital investment with regards to man and his precincts is nil to the Destroyer; while his fragmentary gain is a profit for him and a loss to the Creator. The Devil has nothing to lose in the war against God; if he can hijack man to his domain, it is imperative in light of the original contract that God has to leave this planet to His foe. Owing to the complexities of such reasons, man has become a bundle of unfathomable shortcomings and uncertainties after his fall that insulates him from the candidness of celestial mysteries.

“For judgement I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind. …If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say, ‘we see’, your guilt remains”, Jn.9: 39-41. This is a chastisement that exposes the severity of the warnings which Jesus threw at the hypocrites who tried to nail Him down from His Heavenly duties. While they broke the Sabbath rules for their own gains, they charged the Son of Man for healing a born blind man on a Sabbath day. In comparison to the present day religious maliciousness, we cannot say that they were naked hypocrites because of their ignorance of the mysteries that shrouded around the Incarnation of the Word. A man of humble origin and living a life of recluse couldn’t be their Saviour because they expected a king that of King David’s might, power and glory that set up an earthly empire of huge area and splendour. They wanted, therefore, to get rid of the charlatan king, as he was breaking the Mosaic laws and creed.

We also fight tooth and nail against charismatic healers and miracle workers on the ground that they are all faked ones, despite there may be number of genuine ones among them. Consequently it was their errors due to falsehood that drove the men who sit at the top to get rid of Him from their midst. In tune with the prophesies of old, they wanted to drive away the foreign rulers from their holy land; yet Jesus was not their helper by openly saying to give what is due to Caesar. There was nothing due to Caesar because he was a foreign invader who forced the chosen people to be their slaves. They never anticipated that a Messiah would ever allow the heathen to put their yoke on their necks. The charge of blasphemy, the sign of fanaticism, and political treachery were the obvious charges laid upon Jesus by the chosen ones who were waiting for an Israelite kingdom to be bloomed in the dimension of King David’s fame and name.

Exceptions:
The everyday life experience and the silently-working universe is a mountain of contradictions and perplexities that force us to wander from the seeming whirlwind of truth to chaos. It is not to differentiate between falsehood and truth because the difference between them is only a hair-splitting distance. To understand truth one must be with the Truth, knowing well that Truth will set you free. Jesus is the Truth who only can set us free. If this is the situation, all what see and judge is only relative, not an absolute one. Similar to what we yearn for growth in this seen world that also is groaning for growth or change. A New Jerusalem is the metamorphosised world of this earth that Christ has set up for us to live after the Last Judgement, in tune with the present chaotic one that our first parents denigrated to its vulnerability. Nothing is stationary in this planet because of the changes that take place every moment; the climate changes that resulted out of our greed have no place in the new world that we yet to experience in a far off galaxy. Hence our perceptions with regard to realities are far away in dimensions and magnitudes.

Making a bronze snake for the Israelites was breaking the second Mosaic commandment, but its significance was not open to those who looked at the snake then. We now realize that the bronze snake was a symbolic form of Calvary redemption, so also King David and his men eating the showbread that was only meant for the priests was an exception due to the urgent and immediate necessities. Divorce has been illegal to the divine family life, yet it was granted because of the hardheartedness of the Jews. Thus it may lead one to conclude that “There is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so” is partially correct to an ordinary person. Yet there is no exception for the statutes and covenants that God had given, but the renewal of them from time to time is also a fact.

It is probable that one can understand the gravity of the exceptions that God employs only if one is quite conversant with God’s ways and justice. As God’s love only to a few was explicitly manifested in the pre-Christ era, the majority was put under the harness by the commandments and creed. To obey the commandment was the candid form of expressing our love to God, and He also zealously loved to those who had obeyed and observed the commandments and rituals. Miracles were the tools by which God expressed His love, the main reasons for the Jews demanding signs and miracles from Jesus if He was the one to save Israel by setting up an empire of glory and pomp. The main commandment was to give animal sacrifice, the precursor of our own sacrifice in the New Age that pleased God.

As the basic quality of the Incarnate God was to show His love and mercy to the strayed ones of the New Testament period, Jesus broke the code of Jewish hypocrisy by manifesting the Heavenly love freely. Though not necessary for Jesus to go to the Temple for festivals and Sabbath days, He presented Himself in those venues and cured the sick and the vulnerable, an explicit form of the language of love. The blind lawgivers wanted to bind the blind ones with the harshness of the commandments that they used to exploit them by not showing sympathy or kindness. While Jesus observing the laws meticulously, He could read the minds of the storm tossed by the intense and passionate love that made everything explicit to heal and cure them. Loving others open our inner eyes to visualise what is in everyone and in everything. The love that cleanses us makes everything visible and pure, so that we can feel the intensity of the fire that cleanses us to see the glory of God. A pure body, a cleansed mind and a sublime heart weave the garment of incorruption that we are adorned with for our afterlife. To understand the essentials, including exceptions, is a gift of God.

Inner Eye:
Lk.11. 33. “No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a bushel, but on a stand, that those who enter may see the light. [34] Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is sound, your whole body is full of light; but when it is not sound, your body is full of darkness. [35] Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness. [36] If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.", Mt.6: 21-23. Just as we see the world of stars at a distance, our inner eyes should be able to focus on everything of the invisible world of celestial truths and creatures there. To develop the inner faculty of glowing our mental eye is the aim of our life on earth, so that we can read the truth that envelope our routine life, as well as having a glimpse of our inner world of beauty that gives peace of life with the Lord. Jesus was referring to the inner eye, not the exterior eyes. The outer eye that is a part of the life of the flesh is to be sublimated for viewing the purified life and its luminosities of the inert world that bridle our proximity with the Heavenly powers.

Paradox of paradoxes:
Despite we claim that we are superior and highest creatures of God, man bereft of inner eye is an aeroplane without a radar and propeller. Unless man develops his inner faculties, we become the product of our exterior eyes and flesh that are the playground of Satan. We fight and perish because of our dormant eye of the heart that is supposed to be the dwelling place of God in our being. We claim that the moderns are a cultured species that doesn’t know the meaning of the third eye and its inexplicable beautification of the soul of man. While the beautician of our visible body carves only the outer contours by laminating by cosmetics, the Spirit of God that wax and lubricate our inner man is to be hired with the wages of the lust of the body. Man being a dead worm cannot judge others because he himself is unexplored dark jungles of Africa. “Judge not, that you be not judged”, Mt.7: 1. the Jewish hierarchy judged Jesus with their total ignorance that cannot be a norm for us to judge the crucifiers of Christ because of the illiteracy of their spiritual knowledge. Their expectations of the Messiah, in accordance with the multiplicities of the prophetic utterances of the past, was a different one; casting aspersions of their actions don’t have any justifications, as our betrayal of the Lord with the millennia of past experiences drive us straight away into the territory of the infernal enemy.

The physically blind ones of Jesus’ time saw Him as the Saviour, whereas the pretended seers annihilated the unblemished Lamb who came into His own household for saving or protecting them. ‘Ignorance is bliss” for the unenlightened ones who thrive by contriving treachery and intrigues. The meek and the feeble ones will have to suffer due to the treachery of the ruffians and thugs, “as they do not know what they are doing”. It is better to be a persecuted one rather than be a persecutor, because “they do not know what they are doing”. Every human being is a multi-edged sword; they use it in tune with what they aim in this life at that point of time. They don’t have any second thoughts, nor do they have any compunction of heart that brings introspection and penitence. This is a cruel world of self-seekers whose main weapons are self-deceit and self-righteousness. They kill anyone in word, thought and deed due to their Machiavellian villainy that is their goal of life. Jesus was charged for curing a man’s blindness on a Sabbath day, owing to the naked fact of their inner blindness. As the blind leads the blind to their perdition, today’s global community is in the hand of the prince of darkness that insulate anything luminous in our being. The high-flying life of high-tech spirituality betray us our own identity as Christians.

If the Jews crucified Jesus, the modern so-called followers of Christ crucify the Spirit of God, the third person in the Holy Trinity, the reasons for mushrooming of alien Christian denominations and cults that do send the Creator into exile. Everyone professes that they are doing the faith-bashing for the Lord, but Jesus’ reply is different, Mt.7: 21-22. Celebrating or charismatic Christianity is not the only right path, a mixture of both that unify the Christian values which buttress service to God and man must work together, as the Last Judgement is based on the love and charity work one does in his lifetime, Mt.25, that based on the Mosaic commandments that give importance the first five to God and His agent of creation, and the latter ones only giving prominence to the service of one’s brethren. The problem is that nobody now wants to recognize that we are dancing in tune with the doomsday scenario that threatens our present day life. This is the doomsday age that even converts the chosen ones as human animals which live a life of the flesh of high-tech life. The ignorant and the unrepentant dwell on the periphery of the misquoted biblical verses, because ignorance is their shepherd that leads such opportunists to the land of darkness forever. Mk.11. “And he said to them, "To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables; [12] so that they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand; lest they should turn again, and be forgiven."
