The religious sentimentalism that breeds religious fundamentalism is the root cause for the religious disharmonies of the moderns, despite its roots can be traced back to the origin of history. History delineates only ‘his story’, man’s story that meanders through the wilderness and mountainous ravines. As there have been offshoots from tap root, man’s concept of history that sprouts fanaticism is a lethal mix of volatile elements of prejudices and bias. History is full of our failures and tragedies that resulted out of our good and evil actions and reactions, manifesting the elements of our own misconceived perceptions and conceits which reflected since from the relationship we learn from the hatred of Cain towards Abel. The genealogy that comes through Cain and Seth, Abel’s brother, follow different traditions that justify by their own descendants as self-righteousness and such self-deceits that are the lifeblood which started running through the veins after the fall of Eden. When Jesus claimed the authenticity of His Sonship, the Jews’ question was: “Are you greater than our father Abraham? You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham, Jn.8: 53-59. When the answer was affirmative, they took up stones to throw at Him.

The Christian empires have been drawing attention to the world that Christ is the real God who only can give salvation to mankind. What happened despite this proclamation for the Kingdom of God for all these times? The martyrs’ blood that converted many have their descendants following the peripheral Christianity now; also there are many others who are bought with worldly possessions and attractions, yet the two thirds of the world’s population are still staunch and zealous members of other religions. The majority Christians are mere nominal Christians who are even worse than the pagan worshippers because we are hypocritical in our outlook and approach. We don’t have to teach anything to our children; they will learn from us, so also the pagan world couldn’t get or learn much from our spiritual dissatisfaction( poor in spirit) that convey that God is great and we are only the pigmies in the spiritual realm, Mt.5: 3. Today’s religions have everything except fear and love, the only two creative passions that God wants: the first section of the Mosaic commandments invoke the fear of God and the second section invite love. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”, the Old Testament formula that inculcates love for the New Testament culture. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments”, Jn.14: 15; Mt.19: 16. As soon as we walked over the OT commandments, thinking that Jesus has replaced all of them on the pretext that salvation is already a guaranteed commodity for all cosmetic Christians. Instead of loving others we created a fear of the OT that helped a climate for us to loot all what our enemies have.

Tides of the Schism:
The light and glow that transmitted from our inner being should have engulfed a magnetic field, which ensnare souls for the land of the Living. “Give for alms those things which are within; and behold, everything is clean for you”, Lk.11: 39-41. As long as our inner being is shut up within the darkness of our physical senses, it can neither absorb light from others nor transmit light for others. Give the inner self to others, so that it may be cleansed by the giving and taking policy of Christian charity. The martyrs’ blood that shed in the first three centuries kindled the flames of the Master’s love in most of the regions of that time. The fire of love that conquered Europe and the Middle East was automatically flared up to Africa and the far Eastern countries. St.Thomas who came to India three times also went to China and preached gospel messages there. Despite it is traced that Joseph of Arimathia had gone up to the British Isles for conveying the gospel, there is history to prove that the missionaries from Europe reached the island towards the end of the 5th century. If for the love of Christ the Christian soldiers died in the first three centuries, missionary zeal thereafter the schism between the East and the West that took place in A.D.451 was for the dissemination of their own yeast which sowed the seeds for an imperial church that swerved from the true track made a zigzagging journey from the way of Calvary by adulterating some of the cardinal teachings of the Saviour.

The heresies and schism that drifted the ship into the wide ocean of an amalgam of Christian values with that of the pagan and materialistic life style cut the roots of the church Jesus aspired and died for. Any church that is bereft of right faith that triggers righteousness and charity is not fostering the true love of the Saviour; the cosmetic giggling that entices others into its net is only a sentimental church that exhibit an outward appearance of inward shiftiness. Thus the sub-divided form of the church became a challenge to keep the purity of the Bride any more. Heresies one after the other polluted the body of Christ that invited dreadful enemies, for example the birth of Islam. A God who has the pre-knowledge, not predestination, of everything gave the recipe through the prophets as how he would wind up this world when it derails from its true path. We do all these lunatic somersaults because we are not aware that on what step at the ladder of time we stand now.

God arranged the redemptive scheme meticulously, and presented to us in a mystical way through His prophets and apostles; Jesus also explained these messages through His teachings and life. Man is only the synthesiser and user, not the creator, of the products of Nature, Gen.9: 1-7. “Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. …Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall be his blood shed; for God made man in his own image. “There are 3 witnesses, the Spirit, water, and the blood, and these 3 agree, 1.Jn.5: 8. Just like the BC Israelites sinned against God, we also evade all these mystical knowledge for the sake of whetting the lust of the flesh. He gave us seven days symbolically, creating everything in six days and taking rest on the seventh day, actually seven millennia, for executing His justice over the sinful humanity that became a dupe of His archenemy. We don’t realize that we are at the fringes of the sixth day that hails the King of kings, yet remaining another millennium for rehabilitating His first chosen race, the Jews. The cataclysmic and unnatural animal behaviour of man who pollute and pervert the functioning of Nature and the resultant social fallouts should have opened our eyes to see that the Lord is at the gate to penetrate into the inner sanctum of the castles that we built in the air. The predatory instincts of the carnivorous man have created an abysmal world of social anarchy that preys upon every individual, implicitly or explicitly. The religious life, consequently, that only giving lip service to God has become a service rendering to Satan who wants to triumph over God for declaring the finishing point of the long battle that has been waged for the last 6000 years. The religious hierarchy that has been waiting for a Messiah is in a great coma that does neither acknowledge the existence of a celestial hierarchy nor the coming down the Son of Man who wants us to be lifted above of this sod. The celebrations of the passions of the flesh that doesn’t give heed to the Passions of Christ, the only panacea for the sickening world, is accepted as the religion of the doomsday culture. The cult worship that enthrals a false christ replaces the penitential worship of a real Christ who sacrificed everything as a role model for the perishing mankind.

Sacramental Celebrations:
The sacraments that are meant to cleanse our inner life have become copycat ritual celebrations that reflect our ego and animal passions which embrace all the fruits of our high-tech life, for example, microphone systems, electric decorations, choir, concerts, outdoors entertainments and sports, camping, picnics and cultural programmes. Our worship has become the carbon copies of pagan rituals that please only the spirits of this world. The spiritist Christianity that thrive by boiling only the religious sentiments need only dupes who give money to run the organized profligacy in the religious venue. They warm up the religious sentimentalism that adore the spirits of Nature and this world, whereby extracting money from the ‘believers’. The petrol money that sends its fumes of inferno into our religious precincts is the barometer of certifying one’s insurance to salvation. The celebrants hire any means of making money by organizing spiritist menu. Extolling of the celebrations of spiritual anarchy like birthday, wedding anniversary, job voucher prayers are only few of the examples that automatically invites money and presents that remind us of the days of sale of indulgence. Only money can talk that make the shit walk. They are many forms of mere fund raising gimmicks: tin collections that bribe the children and other members to put the coins after the shopping spree, sale proceeds of goods, community dinner sales of bacchanalian nature, and so on. Innocent people and spiritual vagrants think that such festivities that bring money are the doors for our salvation. As they think that they already have got their salvation, such people don’t have to work, yearn for spiritual dissatisfaction and cherish for any other charitable and righteous deeds, making it sure that the clergy has already booked out their ticket for salvation. There is no ground to accuse Jesus for whipping out the business octopuses from the temple. “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither enter yourselves, nor allow those would enter to go in…when he becomes a prosylite, you make him twice as much a child of hell as you yourselves”, Mt.24.

Administration of the religious venue:
There are constitutions on which the institutions that are registered with the secular system are to run. There is a small clique that manages the venue by using all the underhand methods that benefits the selfish group. They manipulate the election and put their own cronies in the inner sanctum that fraudulently mismanage everything by evoking passions and fears among the devotees who are the donors for running the system. The war lords who wage a gang war keep the donors at an arm’s length, and walk over everything for their own gain by treacherous methods that include intimidation, gossips and character assassination. They don’t give the correct picture of the economy or income and expenditure statements, or even not giving financial accounts at all. They ask money every Sunday without giving the account statements for years. There are cases where no details of income and expenses are given. They kick the constitution for their own advantage every time. There is no one to bell the cat because whoever tries to do will meet with incalculable threats that their families cannot cope with. The head of the institution that only is supposed to have served a set minimum term won’t try to rake up the filth even if he is a sincere person. He knows that once he does such things, he will cut a sorry figure in front of the anarchic community that send heat waves to the higher authorities who don’t care whether the mountain moves or not.

The democratic principles are good, but the way it runs is anarchic in an era when the spirit of Kali overpowers everything. ‘Namukkum kittanam panam’ is the catchword of the day. No sincere believer can expect this sort of heinous and hideous permissiveness that propel the religious theatres of hooligan times. The celebrants are meant to do religious duties, not the organisers of money-collecting ventures, like Judas, or money-making machines by irreligious means. Believers may give some money if their personal interests are served. When there are cat and dog fights, the only way is to wash one’s dirty linen in public. Even if the head of the institutions are sincere and innocent, how come they allow the irreligious villains to manage the venue? Dancing to the tune of this religious mafia destroys the sanctity and sanity of spiritual arenas. Do the members of the managing committee that runs the show follow the religious tenets and conventions and do their duties ideally in accordance with the venue constitution, the bible of the institution, or they are there for their own show and power politics? The mainstream Christian churches that go in line with the pastors of the rightist churches which collect the tithe only for the extravagances of the religious ministers is an infection of the doomsday culture. The faith that professes in Christ is only a sentimental gloss, not for the love of Jesus’ Passions that liberated us from the sting of death. Despite we know that our church faith contents are malignant and deficient, we don’t have an open mind of changing it as we cling on to traditions that are transmitted by the product of vendetta and hatred between churches and their dogma.

Despite everyone knows that his church denomination has only a history of even less than a century, he tries to establish a pedigree starting from the first century Christianity. Such trends of fanatical dictatorship and militant conscriptions to one’s fermented theology are surpassed by a militant sex-oriented theology that is the product of feminism and sexism which encourage dating, divorce, cloning, stem cell research, same-sex relationship, consumerism and female ordination, the last straw that breaks the camel’s back. The sentimental Christianity that fermented fanaticism is riding on an agenda of sexual profligacy and voluptuousness that was seeded in the forbidden fruit which our first mother given to humanity. Does the church serve the people, or people serve the church is our present predicament.

Conclusions:
“Empty vessels make most sound”, so also is the religion that is shallow and blind lead the blind, make everything brutal and regimented. The laminating spirituality and appearance that gloat over everything good is the life style that runs the ministerial orders of every religion, church, parish and secular institutions of every country and nations, without knowing the fact that time is running out because we are coming close to the terror reign of the antichrist who hails from Babylon. We are like the rotten egg that is to be thrown out without any delay. Aren’t we even sick of hearing about the scandals of the World Body that is supposed to have administered the affairs of the international community in an impartial way, which ultimately has culminated into financial scandals and unjust dealings in different magnitudes with different nations? The same sort of black halo infects every institution and religious venues that ultimately haunts families and individuals. When money that has a sweet and magnetic flavour and attraction dominate all our day to day affairs, sincerity, simplicity and devotion to the values of life thaw away easily, without knowing the truth that this artificial boom and consumerism likely to vanish away like a cloud. Seen Mammon perhaps is always better than unseen blessings of an invisible God for the majority. Out of sight means out of mind is a reality for an ephemeral world. Money rules where God serves is an antithesis to the celestial Government. The diametrically opposite should have been the right mix of religious culture that hordes treasures in the afterlife. Despite the financial swindles and dirty power politics that are quite glossy in the top hierarchy of the developed world, gulping anything and everything from the bottom to the top is the uncrowned monarch of the developing and under developed world where sycophancy and hero worship hides everything under the marble. The nominal Christians who thrive by cosmetic spirituality are sentimental fools, embracing everything in the name of peripheral show of sentimental outbursts. “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honour me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men learnt by rote …..and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hid”, Is.29: 13-14.

It shouldn’t have worked that way if the love that created the fear of the Lord made a balancing impact on the society. As everything goes in tune with the book of Revelations that has testified that every age has a spirit, nothing else can work against that ethos because they are the fallouts of all our actions and reactions that we have bequeathed from generation to generations. But the duty of a true soldier is to fight against the odes of times to pass through the gate of hurdles to reach the final point. Rot religiosity is not virtuous spirituality; it is to be practiced at every moment of life, just as a violinist gets perfection in his attainment only by spending his time for years in practicing even by burning mid-night oil. We are to be ready every moment to go from here either by death or by the second coming of the Lord. “Let your loins be girded and lamps burning….Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes…”, Lk.12: 35-40. A lukewarm life of neither hot nor cold is not good as there is no mediocrity in pious life. God wants us to be the best; a life of hypocrisy and double standard is detrimental for spiritual abundance; God hates mediocrity because it is self destructive that ought to explode from within.

We should know that we have already said good-bye to all the four empires, waiting now to dance to the tune of Antichrist who will rule the globe and will be vanquished by the Almighty later. We are meant to fight against Satan who had been nailed contrary on the cross by Jesus for our salvation. The time has come for us to defeat God’s enemy with the armour of God who is always directing as how to proceed further in our unrelenting battle. Read the writing to the angel of Laodicea, Rev.3. [15] "`I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot. [16] So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. [17] For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing; not knowing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. [18] Therefore I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may be rich, and white garments to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nakedness from being seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see.
