DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
THE HANDCUFFED YOUTHHOOD
By Rt. Rev. Geevarghese Mar Athanasios Episcopa
[Diocesian Bishop of Ranni Diocese, Marthoma Church]
To emulate our creator is the ultimate motive of education and it leads us to view our co-beings with compassion. The image of God in us should gleam brightly to our neighbor. Light with out life terrifies us; love without light cannot reach out. Light added to love generates life. As a father, David had the entire reason for the ruin of his son; Absalom indexed as misplaced devotion, delegated responsibility and squandered influence. Our youth should boldly bear the chain of truth for the sake of word of God and not as criminals.

OUR GOD IS VERY PERSONAL
By Dr K.C.Nainan, Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A
Jesus is the only religious teacher who emphasized and revealed that we are God’s children and God is our Father in Heaven who loves and cares for human beings, sparrows of the air and the lilies of the field. Our heavenly Father loved the world so much that his only son was given and allowed to die as the sacrificial lamb for the forgiveness of the entire world. God’s love is unconditionally constant and intimate; it is more personal than we can ever imagine.

FAITH AND FAMILY - SERIES 7 : JUSTICE TO CHILDREN
By Rev. Dr. Valsan Thampu
Our attitude to children reveals more about us than about them. Spiritually, a child is a mirror that captures the truth about the adult world. In order to have children, and to enable them to be truly human, we need to be children. A basic Christian duty in parenting is to enable children to remain ‘children of God’. Contemporary education is apt to be a spiritual roadblock. The best model we can show to children is Jesus, as we can trust them to know where to go and to make sense of the many journeys of their life.

TO OR THROUGH THE MESSIAH
By Mini Kirshnan - Madras
As I read story after story, in my precious prize-book and stared at all the pictures, Jesus became more and more real to me. He was in very ordinary-looking clothes, with out any trace of weapons, jewellery or flowers on him, He looked like the other people in the pictures, He had hands and feet, and even a beard. When my turn came to say the prayer in my School, I said it: "To Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen”, as I needed to go to Jesus Himself and not to anybody through him.

By Prof. Dr. Zac Varghese London
The contemporary churches are no more fellowship of Christians with faith commitments, worshipping God and glorifying His name, but it is a place for investing in self interests of one sort or another and a battle ground for propagating self ideas. The early church with all its troubles and tribulations experienced an amazing time in the life of its members.

INGRATITUDE
By E.S. John Australia
The fall that consumed not only the glory but also the sonship, for which we are battling continuously, is a riddle that haunts us without realizing the unfathomable gulf of our struggle. This self- complacency that leads to self-righteousness is the root cause of our thanklessness against the Creator and the magnanimity of other people. Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord.
